I was going to launch a couple of PPC campaigns this week. But, I think I’ll wait until after your product launch.

I’m so looking forward to buying LPGen and using it to increase my revenues.

    Thanks,

    John

    Hi Jonathan,
Looking forward to working with this tool and that interface to make things much quicker.

I think you should limit the release after I get my copy! :)

    Thanks.

Jonathan your video locked up my computer twice!

Please it so your video does not do this to other computers.

I watch videos all the time & this is the 1st time this has ever happened to me.

    1st question:

What makes your software program just as good or better than PPCRiches?

    2nd Question:

What kind of tutorials are you providing?-the problem with PPCRiches is that they lacked detailed how to instructions…so it is very challenging to use.

    3rd Question:

How easy is it for a non-techie to use your software program for generating killer quality scores?

    4th Question:

Can you add your own SEO articles for any keyword?

    5th Question:

Will it have any anti-spyware program to prevent others from stealing your keywords etc.?

    6th Question:

What kind of support are you going to offer & follow through with?

    7th Question:

Brian Ball of PPCRiches offers super fast support to your questions.

How long is it going to take to get a response to your questions? 24 hours or later?

Please excuse my many questions but your going to need to address these if you want better conversions because adword advertisers are constantly being pitched with high priced products that simply under deliver or do not live up to their advertised claims.

    Sell me…provide proof!

  7. jonathan Says:

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

    Mark -

Sorry to hear that your computer locked up, I’m afraid I’ve no idea why that could have happened. The video is simply a .swf created with Camtasia Studio 5, nothing abnormal about it or anything and it’s working fine for others. Maybe you need to update your flash plug-in? Or it could be a browser issue, have you tried in another browser? Not sure what else to suggest! =(

    OK, on to your questions!

    * What makes your software program just as good or better than PPCRiches?

Not being a customer of PPCRiches myself, I cant actually answer this from first hand experience. But I can tell you that they are VERY different products. I have a number of PPCRiches owners in my userbase so far, and they have all said that hands down, they will only use LPGen for landing pages. Some are still building the “silo” site with PPCriches, but that’s all. What I’ve been told, is that PPCRiches is slow and painful to use, and people’s work flow crawled to a halt when they began using it. With LPGen, their workflow is accelerated. I’ve also had people tell me they get much cheaper bids with LPGen than with PPCRiches’ landing pages. Again, I can’t speak from experience. It’s been discussed a bit in the user forum though, so feel free to go ask there: www.lpgen.com/forum

    * What kind of tutorials are you providing?-the problem with PPCRiches is that they lacked detailed how to instructions…so it is very challenging to use.

    See for yourself! =) www.lpgen.com/LPGen-Videos/

They are not all up yet, I’m still working on more, but this should give you some ideas and insights. There is also a very detailed PDF user’s guide to compliment the videos.

    * How easy is it for a non-techie to use your software program for generating killer quality scores?

First, a point I’d like to make: I don’t personally concern myself with “Quality Score”, I watch bids. Quality Score is super-coarse, meaning it has only 4 possible levels (poor, ok, good, great) and therefore you can’t measure say, a 10% improvement in QS. But with bids, you CAN. So while it may give you “Great” QS on many keywords, personally I don’t care if I have “poor” on everything as long as my bids are cheap. Make sense?

OK so as far as ease of use… I have gone to great lengths to address usability. I’m a bit of a fanatic about that issue, and I think LPGen is very easy to work with. In fact, one of the biggest problems I’ve had with early users, is taht they make it too difficult! They actually try to make it much more complex than it is, because they’re used to other tools. They want to insert extra code on the pages, or in the URLs, etc. when there is no need to do so, due to LPGen’s design. Again, your best answer to that will come from users, so check out the users forum.

    * Can you add your own SEO articles for any keyword?

You certainly can do anything you want, because you can insert any PHP code at all, directly into your templates and it will work. So if you have (or know how to create) for example an article rotator script, you could integrate it quite easily.

We’re in the final stages right now however, of work on a content generation module for LPGen that, among many other things, will scrape keyword-related articles from 5 different article directories, on the fly, and insert them into your pages. This will add a LOT of flexibility in terms of relevant content for your landing pages.

    * Will it have any anti-spyware program to prevent others from stealing your keywords etc.?

If you mean stop them from using programs like AdSpyPro to monitor your PPC campaigns, then no, at least not initially, but if there is enough demand, I could add this. Personally, I don’t see it as an issue because those spying products operate on a VERY false premise, which is that if a given keyword has been running for a long time, it must be profitable. But since most people don’t track their campaigns at a keyword level, you could simply have been spying on a losing keyword and not known it. Unless you can see ALL of an advertiser’s keywords, you have no way at all to accurately know what’s going on with their profitability. The whole premise is very cool, but inherently flawed the way it’s executed currently.

    * What kind of support are you going to offer & follow through with?

I actually tend to be a bit overboard with support, as you may notice from this blog comment! I have brought another person on board to help field support tickets, and I’m putting in a formal ticketing system now to track everything. The user’s forum has been running for a month or two now and many of the most common issues have already been addressed there (and they are 99% of the time, either user error or a host server incompatibility). I am also planning to offer some sort of premium support package for those who feel they need it, where you can get priority and personal support from me directly. This will of course take me away from working on other aspects of the product, so it will have a price attached to it, but for those who need the “insurance policy” of knowing they can ping me directly any time they have a problem, it will be well worth it.

    * How long is it going to take to get a response to your questions? 24 hours or later?

Basic email support will guarantee a response within 48 hours (Anyone who knows me, knows I’m MUCH faster than that, but that’s the extreme outside) and of course there’s the user forum as well, where you may find the answer to your question already there, or get help from another user more quickly.

You are right, that there are so many products being pitched for PPC lately, and many have not done a great job at follow through. I know first hand because I’ve participated in some of them! LPGen was built by a user (me) for users (you!) and I am determined to make it the best product of its kind, with the best support behind it.

I’ve been involved with software professionally for my entire adult life, and I can’t stand to see buggy products with poor support, sent out into the world. I’ve held off from releasing LPGen for over 2 months while I made sure it was as “bullet proof” as I could possibly make it, and I think I’m not at that point. So it’s time for this baby to head out into the big, bad world!

Thanks for the questions, keep ‘em coming any time!

    Always The Best,

    Jonathan

Oh also, watch for some amazing case studies to begin appearing soon… There’s one in particular that I can’t wait to get the results on, but the marketer who’s doing it has been unavailable for a few days. But keep your eyes peeled for it to be revealed soon!

    Hi Jonathan
Great to see you’ll be up and going in a few days.
The Videos were great so far.

I realise that LP Gen will be a stand alone product wher I mean that we will be able to produce landing pages that will attract mch better bids etc.
    but my question is -

Will you have any functionality to use your landingpages with Speed PPc

Many thanks and look forward to your launch

    Hamant

  10. jonathan Says:

Yes, LPGen definitely works great with SpeedPPC for SURE. I actually need to do a newer video showing the two together, but I have an older one online and the basic idea is much the same. Have a look at the videos at www.tooltrainer.com/freevids/ and there’s on on LPGen + SpeedPPC in there. Enjoy!

    Always The Best,

    Jonathan

  11. Hamant Keval Says:

    Great Jonathan
    I will check it out

Apologies - I forgot to ask
Will this be a monthly payable product or a one of payment script?

    Thanks

  12. jonathan Says:

LPGen is a one time payment. There will be an extra support option available for a monthly fee for those who want/need it, but the program itself is just a one shot deal.

    Always The Best,

    Jonathan

  13. Mark Says:

Jonathan, thanks for answering my questions.

Here’s a request I believe you should consider & perhaps even survey your beta testers or put up a questionaire to see what others want LPG to do.

    Q #1

Does LPG offer keyword tracking?…& will it provide a sales tracking code for your thank you page, if you sell your own product?

    Q #2

Will you consider offering a blackhat version & a whitehat version of LPG?

Basically along the lines of the “Try This Blackhat software” that was being heavily promoted in the summer of 2006

There are many IMer’s who secretly love using blackhat tools because they really work.

Just create the ultimate blackhat version that you would secretly use & make it available.

You would be surprised at how many you would sell by having a blackhat version. I would sell the blackhat version for a different price if need be & the white version for a lower price.

    Q #3

I disagree with your comment on quality score because if you get a poor quality score you will pay substantially more than you would for a keyword with an ok quality score.

Even though PPCRiches is somewhat of a challenge it does give you great quality scores, especially if you take the time to add your own SEO articles for a keyword your bidding on.

Yes! Your right you cannot measure percentage wise your quality score- but who cares as long as google gives you the great quality score you want …so your bid prices are substantially lower.

I highly recommend you try a 7 day trial of PPCR when you have the time so you experience what you like & don’t like about PPCRiches & then add these features to LPG.

Plus, I would definitely recommend you create a PDF tutorial for LPG so users can use the find key to quickly find answers to their questions.

Perhaps have one of your Super Affiliates offer a tutorial as a bonus if we buy through their link or offer blackhat Tips & tricks that Jonathan does not want you to know about & won’t tell you…just kidding.

Make LPG the best adwords landing page generator available anywhere for a no-brainer price.

PS. Please add a split tester so we can split test our landing pages to see what keyword headline generates more conversions.

  14. jonathan Says:

    Awesome feedback Mark, thanks!

Q1: LPGen has visitor logging, but not technically a “tracking system” for conversions, etc. Right now it records a bunch of information about your visitors - including the full URL they accessed with all tracking codes intact - to a file that you can do whatever you want with. A full tracking system is something we may add at a later date though, if I feel there’s truly something we can do BETTER than existing tools.

Q2: I may very well consider a black hat version with lots of “dirty tricks” enabled. I have many in mind… will have to see how that unfolds. ;)

Q3: I see what you mean, and we are sort of saying the same thing from two different directions. My point was that as long as the bid price is low, I don’t care about QS, and your point is that if QS is high, bid prices will be low… so sortof opposite sides of the same coin. But what I put emphasis on is this…

For example, you could have a QS of “good” and a bid price of .25. Then you put LPGen into use and your QS is STILL “good” but now your bid is .15. Then maybe later your QS goes up to “great” and your bid is now .10 or .05. So you see, it was the bid price that changed first, and most noticeably, not the QS. This is why I don’t watch QS like a hawk, I’d rather watch bid prices because a .05 change in bid price could be HUGE for my bottom line, but make no change in QS at all so I may not catch it if I was primarily focusing on QS.

But at the end of the day, we’re both saying the same thing… high QS = lower bid prices, and low bid prices typically = higher QS.

    Thanks for the questions!

    Always The Best,

    Jonathan
