Adwords X-Factor, my thoughts so far…

So my CD came in the mail yesterday, and I’ve been listening to it in bits & pieces. I’m the kind of person that, if I’m listening to an informational audio recording, I can’t be doing ANYTHING else or I will totally miss what was said, so I’m only about 1/2 way through it with all the other distractions I’ve got going on each day.

So what’s my opinion so far? I’m pleasantly surprised to be able to say I’ve gotten some good things out of it. I’ve got a notepad and I’m jotting down little things that are mentioned here & there. It’s definitely got some really good tidbits.

How would I rate it on a scale from 1-10?

Well considering I’m only about 1/2 way through, this probably isn’t a fair thing to do but I’ll do it anyway. If I assume that a “1″ means it’s total garbage and there wasn’t a shred of value to it, and a “10″ means it’s a complete and utter paradigm shift unlike anything I’ve ever heard, and a “5″ means it was ok information but absolutely nothing new, just basic intro stuff being rehashed…

I’d give the first half a solid 7 out of 10. My rating may go up or down as I finish listening, we shall see. I’m sure there’s some kind of pitch coming towards the end, just because… well because there’s ALWAYS a pitch of some kind! ;) I don’t know what it will be for since I’m not there yet, but if the last 1/2 of this interview have as many little nuggets as the first 1/2, I’ll probably end up giving the overall CD a good 8 out of 10. There have definitely been a couple of “OMG, that’s a GREAT idea!” moments so far. Again, nothing earth shaking or paradigm shifting, but “simple” stuff that I just hadn’t thought about doing… places to look for traffic, some off-the-beaten-path stuff. It’s the stuff that 90% of the people are NOT doing, that I think will be hiding the real huge money in marketing (whether online OR offline actually!)

So anyway… is it worth the price of admission? Yeah actually, I think so. As with anything like this whether it’s an eBook, home study course, or seminar, it’s always 100% worthless if you do nothing with the information. But there’s a couple things in here that I’ve heard so far, that I am dead-certain will earn me way more than the $30 or so the product actually ends up costing. I just have to actually IMPLEMENT them. Isn’t that always the catch?

Somehow, “Money for nothing and your chicks for free” just doesn’t quite seem to be the way it really works. ;)

P.S.

Turns out that CD was only available for a short time… I didn’t realize that. The link now goes to a different product. I don’t know how else to get the XFactor audio so I guess if you didn’t already get it, you can’t any more. Surprised me but hey, I guess that’s life.

I’ll write more once I finish the whole CD!

    Jonathan,

Great stuff! I, too have left PPC for PPV.

You say “In case you’re wondering, yes I’m still using LPGen with PPV and it’s invaluable…”

Can you elaborate a little (Of course you will more than just elaborate, probably in the form of one of your fabulous videos)?

But for now, I think I speak for all LPGEN’ers when I say that it would be great to see if there are any special techniques we need to be aware of in order to apply LPGEN to PPV marketing MOST effectively.

    Thanks again.
