58 hours later…
So here I am, 58 hours after launch. I’ve actually slept a little, here & there, and have even remembered to eat a couple times! Stunning!
Speaking purely from my own perspective, I think the launch was a smash success. It had a few hiccups, but I’ve been told by those who have launched before that they’re standard ones - merchant account issues, registration glitches, some compatibility issues, etc. But all in all, everything went fantastically. My server never glitched a bit even with all the video I was pushing (huge props to SLHost!!!) and I’ve got a couple hundred users now cranking away with LPGen.
This is truly one of my personal proudest moments (that might seem sad to some but hey… ;)). Something that I have created our of a whole bunch of pieced together lines of code, is being used by hundreds of people and in at least a half dozen cases that I know of personally, is making them great money right away. This rocks!!
I’m not sure where I will go from here, but as you can probably imagine, I’ve already grabbed the attention of a lot of “name” folks, and am getting asked to speak at seminars, etc. I enjoy that kind of stuff (I used to demo software at tradeshows as part of my job) so will probably take them up on it at least occasionally. Plus, I saw a few “guru” names come through on my shopping cart too, so I’m definitely on the radar, so to speak!
This is so far beyond what I expected, I don’t even have words to explain it (oh who am I kidding - of course I have words! LOL). It’s been a blast! A totally exhausting, stressful, sometimes nerve-wracking and draining, blast! But things have settled into a pretty good rhythm, support is being handled, and I just have a few weird autoresponder issues to sort out (I’m used to Aweber and 1ShoppingCart is a very different beast) and everything will be smooth sailing. The user forum is starting to bustle with questions and helpful tips, and at least one other marketer has already sent out an email with a cool trick he realized he could do with LPGen. I love when people take things and make them do stuff they weren’t really intended for!
So anyway… Thanks all who followed and joined me on this ride… there will be many more to come!
