Tracking 202 on our own servers, FINALLY!!!

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Hey everyone… first of all, sorry to those whose comments were held in queue so long.  I’ve had so much on my plate the last few weeks that I just plain forgot to check!!  You’ve all been approved now and I’ll give them a look and respond shortly.

But now for something completely different…

You may or may not know about Tracking202.  It’s a very slick tracking & reporting system released a few months back.  I wasgiven an early preview of it and I was totally impressed… the one major obstacle I had to using it, that I knew a ton of other people would have too, was that it was hosted on their servers, not your own.  This has the paranoia issue of trusting your data (and from what I saw of how it worked, ALL your data… every keyword, every link, every campaign, EVERYTHING) to people you didn’t know, in a small company where let’s face it, things can happen.

But the bigger issue to me was that now my campaigns have yet another server in the loop.  Already there’s our own server that hosts the landing page, plus the CPA network’s server, plus the advertiser/merchant’s server, and possibly others as well, in the chain.  I really didn’t want yet another potential point of failure.

Well today’s my lucky day… because Prosper202 has been released into the wild!!  Basically it’s tracking202, but you host it on your own server.  I’ve only just installed it and am looking it over now, but so far it looks identical in every way to the Tracking202 system I was so thoroughly impressed with.

Oh, and the price?  That’s the real shocker… call it reverse sticker shock if you will, but it’s FREE!!!  That’s right.  Zero, zip, nada, zilch.  No cashola!  I don’t know how these guys are affording their San Francisco rent, but I hope they can do so for a very long time.

Now I have to put it through its paces.  So far the only downside is one I’m not surprised by and can live with - the code is Zend encrypted.  I know this is important, heck even LPGen is encrypted (though I chose not to use Zend).  But being someone who likes to hack stuff to fit my needs better, I was just the tiniest bit bummed about this.

So, I’m going to run a few campaigns through this baby and let you know how it goes.  I’m really excited though, I’m a sucker for clean detailed visual reporting, and I’m sick of staring at rows of numbers in Excel!

P.S.

Forgot to mention… they’ve also got an Affiliate Marketing Forum as well as  an Affiliate Marketing Blog, both of which may be worth hanging out in from time to time!

Wait - SpeedPPC Launching AGAIN??

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Is it just me or is there a sense of Deja Vu in the air?

Hi there,

So if you haven’t already heard, SpeedPPC version 3.0 is set to launch tomorrow (or today depending on where in the world you are right now) on April 8th. You’ll no doubt be getting a whole slew of emails about it from all the JV partners wanting you to buy from them so they can win the affiliate competition.

(For those who hate waiting… www.lpgen.com/sppc.html)

Man, these people sure are competitive…

So, cutting through all the shouting, what is SpeedPPC all about and how can it help YOU?

The answer depends of course, on what exactly you’re doing.

SpeedPPC is a tool designed strictly for (as you may have guessed from the name) PPC marketers. It is not for people who do banner exchanges or big media buys, or who use PPV traffic (as I do). It’s for people using PPC companies ike Google, Yahoo, MSN, and even some smaller players that you may not know about.

It *is* a great tool. It does exactly what it says it will do, and the new version (I’ve been playing with the beta versions for several months) is a huge improvement on the original, based entirely on user feedback.

But, SpeedPPC is NOT FOR EVERYONE!! I even convinced a good friend - who, bless her, tends to run out and buy whatever I’m using - to get a refund on it (and yes I gave up a commission in the process)

If you can’t already make a profitable PPC campaign by hand, without a tool like SpeedPPC, then SpeedPPC WILL NOT HELP YOU. In fact, it could be devastating because it will let you make MUCH larger unprofitable campaigns, that will chew through your budget like an army of moths in a cotton mill.

So as I’ve said many times before… SpeedPPC is not, in my opinion, for newcomers to PPC. But if you already have a good solid understanding of PPC, and have made profitable campaigns by hand… then SpeedPPC is like handing a journeyman carpenter a set of the best power tools money can buy.

So.

I’ve never been “on the radar” enough to warrant an invite to any of these big product launches, so I’ve never been part of one of these affiliate competitions.

Until now!

Yep that’s right… I got the invite from Jay Stockwell to throw my hat in the ring against some very VERY big name marketers, all trying to out-do each other for the top honors in the contest. Now I’m not foolish enough to think I actually have big enough lists to out-sell these big players. Nor do I have tens of thousands of dollars worth of bonuses to hand out, in order to entice you.

But what I do have, is a solid understanding of how all these different tools work together. SpeedPPC, Affiliate Radar, LPGen, Adwords, YSM, HTML, PHP, Alphabet Soup!! I know that many, many people are constantly struggling with how this all fits together. Jay has even sent some of his own customers over to me for $200/hour private consultations on how to get SpeedPPC working in their business.

So this is my offer to those who buy through my affiliate link during this re-launch:

$100 discount on the price (so $397 instead of $497) and a free 1 hour personal phone/skype consultation with me, on exactly how to get up & running with SpeedPPC as fast as possible (cash value of the consultation is $200).

Look, I know other marketers are going to go all crazy with bonuses of interviews, ebooks, or other information products that they’ve created. Typically though, whenever I see the bonuses people put out there, I find them to be a little too “one size fits all” for my tastes. I want a bonus that is custom tailored for ME and the way *I* do business.

So that’s exactly what I’ve put together for you.

We can talk about any aspect of your business really, it doesn’t even have to be about SpeedPPC if you’ve got something else more pressing that you need help with. I’ve built my online reputation for amazing support and truly helping people out, so now it’s time to create the ultimate “win-win-win” situation. You get an awesome product and the help to get it working fast, I get a commission which keeps a roof over my head, and Jay gets a new happy customer who’s out there making money with his product.

What could be better???

OK, enough said. You can get more details on SpeedPPC here:

If you decide it’s right for you, please MAKE SURE YOU CLEAR YOUR COOKIES *BEFORE* you visit the above link and purchase. If you get credited to someone else, I won’t be able to do anything about it. =( Sorry…

OK that’s all the hype you’re going to get from me. SpeedPPC really is a great tool for those who can actually benefit from it.

Always The Best,

Jonathan

P.S.

Oh I almost forgot… if by chance you bought Google Payload and implemented the strategies there, the new version has a surprise new feature that you might especially love!

P.P.S.

If for some reason you don’t want the consultation with me, I can offer you LPGen at half price instead if you don’t already own it.
