Adwords X-Factor, my thoughts so far…

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

So my CD came in the mail yesterday, and I’ve been listening to it in bits & pieces. I’m the kind of person that, if I’m listening to an informational audio recording, I can’t be doing ANYTHING else or I will totally miss what was said, so I’m only about 1/2 way through it with all the other distractions I’ve got going on each day.

So what’s my opinion so far? I’m pleasantly surprised to be able to say I’ve gotten some good things out of it. I’ve got a notepad and I’m jotting down little things that are mentioned here & there. It’s definitely got some really good tidbits.

How would I rate it on a scale from 1-10?

Well considering I’m only about 1/2 way through, this probably isn’t a fair thing to do but I’ll do it anyway. If I assume that a “1″ means it’s total garbage and there wasn’t a shred of value to it, and a “10″ means it’s a complete and utter paradigm shift unlike anything I’ve ever heard, and a “5″ means it was ok information but absolutely nothing new, just basic intro stuff being rehashed…

I’d give the first half a solid 7 out of 10. My rating may go up or down as I finish listening, we shall see. I’m sure there’s some kind of pitch coming towards the end, just because… well because there’s ALWAYS a pitch of some kind! ;) I don’t know what it will be for since I’m not there yet, but if the last 1/2 of this interview have as many little nuggets as the first 1/2, I’ll probably end up giving the overall CD a good 8 out of 10. There have definitely been a couple of “OMG, that’s a GREAT idea!” moments so far. Again, nothing earth shaking or paradigm shifting, but “simple” stuff that I just hadn’t thought about doing… places to look for traffic, some off-the-beaten-path stuff. It’s the stuff that 90% of the people are NOT doing, that I think will be hiding the real huge money in marketing (whether online OR offline actually!)

So anyway… is it worth the price of admission? Yeah actually, I think so. As with anything like this whether it’s an eBook, home study course, or seminar, it’s always 100% worthless if you do nothing with the information. But there’s a couple things in here that I’ve heard so far, that I am dead-certain will earn me way more than the $30 or so the product actually ends up costing. I just have to actually IMPLEMENT them. Isn’t that always the catch?

Somehow, “Money for nothing and your chicks for free” just doesn’t quite seem to be the way it really works. ;)

P.S.

Turns out that CD was only available for a short time… I didn’t realize that. The link now goes to a different product. I don’t know how else to get the XFactor audio so I guess if you didn’t already get it, you can’t any more. Surprised me but hey, I guess that’s life.

I’ll write more once I finish the whole CD!

Adwords X-Factor. I bought it, now I hope it’s good!

So I know I don’t really blog terribly often, but I thought this one might be of great interest to some of you, and is very timely given the recent release of LPGen.

PRODUCT NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Just so you know, that’s not an affiliate link and I’m not secretly cookie-ing you. ;) . I don’t get anything for sharing this. I actually just ordered my own copy, so I haven’t even heard what’s on the CD yet! But I trust the guy who told me to go get this right away, and so I did. I do wish it was downloadable as I’m impatient, but… oh well I can wait a couple days.

Anyway, since I have it on a trusted authority that this is a truly excellent interview, I figured I’d pass it along. I hope my source turns out to have been right! But given how hugely successful I know he’s been online, I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

PRODUCT NO LONGER AVAILABLE

So, enjoy! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on it as well to compare with my own. If you get this or have it or know about it or have anything to say at all, leave a comment!

58 hours later…

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007

So here I am, 58 hours after launch.  I’ve actually slept a little, here & there, and have even remembered to eat a couple times!  Stunning!

Speaking purely from my own perspective, I think the launch was a smash success.  It had a few hiccups, but I’ve been told by those who have launched before that they’re standard ones - merchant account issues, registration glitches, some compatibility issues, etc.  But all in all, everything went fantastically.  My server never glitched a bit even with all the video I was pushing (huge props to SLHost!!!) and I’ve got a couple hundred users now cranking away with LPGen.

This is truly one of my personal proudest moments (that might seem sad to some but hey… ;)).  Something that I have created our of a whole bunch of pieced together lines of code, is being used by hundreds of people and in at least a half dozen cases that I know of personally, is making them great money right away.  This rocks!!

I’m not sure where I will go from here, but as you can probably imagine, I’ve already grabbed the attention of a lot of “name” folks, and am getting asked to speak at seminars, etc.  I enjoy that kind of stuff (I used to demo software at tradeshows as part of my job) so will probably take them up on it at least occasionally.  Plus, I saw a few “guru” names come through on my shopping cart too, so I’m definitely on the radar, so to speak!

This is so far beyond what I expected, I don’t even have words to explain it (oh who am I kidding - of course I have words! LOL).  It’s been a blast!  A totally exhausting, stressful, sometimes nerve-wracking and draining, blast!  But things have settled into a pretty good rhythm, support is being handled, and I just have a few weird autoresponder issues to sort out (I’m used to Aweber and 1ShoppingCart is a very different beast) and everything will be smooth sailing.  The user forum is starting to bustle with questions and helpful tips, and at least one other marketer has already sent out an email with a cool trick he realized he could do with LPGen.  I love when people take things and make them do stuff they weren’t really intended for!

So anyway…  Thanks all who followed and joined me on this ride… there will be many more to come!

Wow, what a day!!

WHEW!!

Holy cow has today ever been a roller coaster.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, as for all I knew I’d sell 2 LPGen licenses today.

Well, that sure didn’t happen!

The first 100 licenses all SOLD OUT in 12 hours flat!

It’s been a whirlwind around here of answering questions about LPGen, handling support tickets for some stray shopping cart issues, answering forum questions, getting my support team up to speed, talking with my merchant account and shopping cart support people…

And amidst it all - my server DID NOT CRASH ONCE!  Even with all the videos I was streaming, there was not a single server outage.

Not bad for the first ever product launch of an unknown product creator, eh?  ;)

OK so, the price of LPGen has now officially risen to the intermediate point of $497.  There will be 200 more licenses sold, then it will go up again to $597 for the final 200 licenses and the doors will close.

So think about it carefully.  Listen to Gauher in his interview. Decide for yourself if you could benefit from reduced bids of as much as 41% on your PPC campaigns (that number came from a very happy LPGen user by the way ;) and if it sounds like LPGen is for you, I suggest you grab one of the next 200 licenses and start putting LPGen to work for your business, NOW!

As for me… well it’s been a very long day and I probably should go to sleep, but hey - I’ve got new customers to support!  I’ll sleep when I’m dead!  Yeah that’s it!

Always The Best,

Jonathan

8 hours to go.

What else is there really to say?

I shall now attempt to manage 6 hours of sleep.  Probably be lucky to get 5.  Today is going to be one heck of a day!
